The Role

Our client is Trainline, you will work on their web product.

An AddCode Software Engineer is a highly-skilled developer who exemplifies the highest standard in software engineering along with a passion for the product.  

Your desire to acquire new skills and knowledge will be fuelled by the team around you.

You’ll be also working alongside a very skilled product team, building and delivering software - they use agile practices (SCRUM, Kanban) and XP techniques like BDD, continuous integration & continuous delivery and pair programming.

About you:

  • You will be delivering features and developing great code, using the most appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Working on End to End projects with various elements of the team such as business analysts, product owners and colleague agile developers, defining user stories and ensure their proper development.

  • Implementing business functionality in a testable form.

  • Continuously improving code base and removing technical debt.

Technical Competencies:

  • Good experience in C# (.Net 4.5 or newer, core.NET)

  • High volume backend systems

  • High performant search, optimisation and scheduling algorithms

  • Agile development experience, working on SCRUM or Kanban practices.

  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Behaviour Driven Development and Pair Programming are our in our methodology of work so you should have previous experience

Great to have:

  • Experience using AWS as a hosting environment; Usage of AWS Services (DB, Messaging, etc…)

  • Asynchronous patterns experience

  • Oracle/or MS SQL DB or similar

  • TeamCity or similar Continuous Integration tools (ie. Jenkins)

  • NUnit, SpecFlow or similar testing tools

  • New Relic, ELK or similar monitoring and logging tools
