Role Overview:

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of our biggest clients, a multinational based in Portugal. This international Group is a leading supplier of technology and services and has been focusing in recent years on a strategy of growth and technological innovation.

What you will do:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will play a crucial role in the mechanical construction design of heat pump outdoor units, encompassing the refrigerant circuit. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing the entire supply chain, from collaborating with suppliers to facilitating the mass production and market release of heat pump products.

Your role demands a results-driven approach, coupled with effective communication skills to engage with various suppliers (both internal and external) as well as other team members. This collaboration is essential to uphold internal quality standards and ensure the smooth and efficient assembly of the product on the shop floor.

What you are like:

  • Experience in the design of structural metallic parts, design plastic parts and tubes in an industrial environment, preferably using CAD 3D Siemens Unigraphics;
  • Experience in specification of new components, material selection, tolerance chain calculation;
  • Knowledge of materials engineering;
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods;
  • Knowledge in the design of refrigeration and hydraulic components and systems is valued;
  • Knowlegment in the product lifecycle management (PLM) software - Teamcenter: Siemens PLM Software;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english;
