What the day will look like
As a Cloud Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support various application, products and clients. You will be part of a dynamic team driving the development of highly scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Design and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using [AWS/Azure/GCP].
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects to align the platform's architecture with company objectives.
- Establish best practices for infrastructure as code (IAC) implementation and automation.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment.
- Ensure robust security practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, networking, and application deployments.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices, including access controls, data protection, and compliance.
- Collaborate with software development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience and proven track record of delivering cloud infrastructure management.
- Proficiency of cloud platforms like [AWS/Azure/GCP] and infrastructure as code tools. (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of networking principles and security practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently and know when to escalate or engage other teams for further support.
- Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
Note: Although it is a remote and/or hybrid position, you have to be physical located in Portugal.
