Maitaiz is a 99designs for Travel. Our goal is to help people have better travelling experiences, from booking to the end of the trip. Despite the size of the online travel bookings segment (over $1B), the booking process is still broken. Travelers visit on average 10 websites before booking, and 28% of those that book online would rather book with an offline travel agent if they could find one. Maitaiz wants to help this large number of travelers that want to do a complex trip to a new region for the first time, but don’t have time to spend 50hrs researching on Tripadvisor, Expedia, Orbitz, and can’t find a traditional travel agent because most of the brick-and-mortar travel stores closed down.
