"Predictability Metrics - How to measure Predictabiity with Facts"
Why is it that software development projects seem to have so much difficulty delivering predictable outcomes? It seems that all too often projects are late or over budget or they deliver the wrong system or all of the above. How can the predictability of software development outcomes be increased? To improve the reliability of software development, we have institutionalized practices that decrease, rather than increase, the predictability of outcomes.Predictability metrics help teams make more accurate about the completion and consistency of their work items. This can lead to better work prioritization and more targeted communications among stakeholders and the whole system. This also can help you measure the effect of your improvement efforts and allow you to confidently commit to reasonable timelines based on facts.
Applying Lean thinking and some principles can help you to improve the flow of work through an organization and increase delivery speed.
"Why we do what we do. How to lead us, them and we"
A deep dive into human psychology (the good and the bad), how emotions control us and how entire organizations are built around them. Why do some people lead in times of crisis and others hide? Why do some companies run from Agile and innovation? Why are salaries a taboo topic? What are we afraid of? In this session, a very personal journey for me, and of brutal honesty, we’ll understand the hidden forces shaping our behavior in the workplace and what can we do immediately to step up as leaders of change in our organizations.
Warning: sensitive topics like sex, religion and drugs will be addressed.
