Mission

We are looking for an Application Support Technician.

This team is part of the payments area of a customer in the banking sector and they are responsible for monitoring middle and back office applications and ensuring a continuous and fully optimized operation. In this Application Production team, the main activities concern to NP-EEC and GTB for which they manage, among others, large payment systems, part of mass payment systems, Swift accesses or even customer access portals. The candidates will join a new 10-people team dedicated to manage, standardise, automate and industrialise application in production environments, at our client’s premises. Different levels of experience and expertise are being considered, namely intermediate and expert levels.

 

His/Her main activities will include the following, among others:

  • Manage application versions on the pre-production environments;
  • Installation of new versions in production;
  • Participate on acceptance tests;
  • Ensure job scheduling and workload automation;
  • Participate in incident and problem resolution;
  • To adhere to scheduled shifts and on-call regimes.

 

 Profile

  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL;
  • Unix - for batch process management, application servers and file transfers;
  • Windows - for application servers management;
  • Some knowledge of Java or other programming language (nice to have);
  • Application Servers: JBoss, Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic;
  • Networking knowledge (nice to have);
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems using a methodical systematic approach; 
  • Rigorous and proactive;
  • Teamwork and good interpersonal skills;
  • English language minimum B1 level (mandatory);
  • French language is a plus.
