Data Architect (m/f)

This person will be an experienced Architect to join their team and play a pivotal role in shaping and managing their Azure-based Data Platform.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, goals, and challenges;
• Create comprehensive architectural designs that encompass software components, data flow, interfaces, and integration points;
• Ensure alignment of the solution architecture with overall enterprise architecture standards and guidelines.

Technology Selection:

• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to build the data platform solution;
• Make informed decisions regarding build vs. buy options for various components of the solution.

Scalability and Performance:

• Architect the solution to handle increasing data volumes and transaction loads, ensuring optimal performance at all times;
• Implement strategies for horizontal and vertical scalability as needed.

Security and Compliance:

• Define security measures and protocols to safeguard sensitive data;
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and industry-specific regulations.

Technical Leadership:

• Indirectly Lead a team of developers and engineers, providing architectural guidance, code reviews, and technical mentoring;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the successful implementation of the solution.

Documentation:

• Create detailed architectural documentation, including system diagrams, data models, integration specifications, and technical guidelines.

Profile

• Proven experience (10+ years) in Architecture roles, preferably within supply chain management;

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing supply chain data platforms and solutions;

• Experience with relevant technologies such as ERP systems and data analytics platforms;

• Evaluates current processes and suggests improvements to ensure effective, streamlined and automated processes;

• Broad technical architecture knowledge in applications (ERP, CRM, Web Applications, SAP etc.), Data & Analytics (DataLake, Data Mesh, OLTP, Datawarehouse, Data Marts, BI, etc.), Cloud (Azure, AWS), Databricks, API & Integration (iPaaS), Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, and other areas;

• Knowledge and experience of Agile development lifecycles;

• Excellent presentation, communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with business and technical stakeholders;

• Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology requirements;

• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management, automation and digital;

• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills;

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze and resolve technical challenges;

• Experience of working globally across Europe, North America and Asia;

• Ability to travel as needed to meet with stakeholders.
