What are you going to do?

• Develop and maintain platforms that manage energy production, consumption, and efficiency data;
• Design, build, and optimize data workflows in Python (and Node.js when required) to process and integrate multiple data sources;
• Implement and support cloud-native solutions in AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost efficiency;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design architectures, define use cases, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience;
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with AWS CloudFormation or CDK for resource provisioning and automation;
• Ensure best practices in version control (Git), debugging, and workflow optimization.

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong expertise in Python;
• Solid experience designing and programming data workflows;
• Strong background with AWS services, especially: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Data Catalog, Athena (Glue knowledge is a plus);
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation or CDK; Terraform experience also valued);
• Familiarity with Spark/PySpark and techniques to accelerate processing in Python;
• Proficiency in SQL and database integrations;
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with focus on performance optimization;
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines;
• Ability to design, document, and present architectures and solutions for business use cases;
• Interest in Data Engineering and delivering data-driven experiences.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 or above);
• Candidates must be based in Portugal and possess either European citizenship or a valid Work Visa/Residence Card – mandatory requirement;
