We are an AI startup revolutionizing expert knowledge sharing based from Zurich. Led by PhDs from ETH Zurich (top 4 CS university in the world), our team is pioneering the next generation of AI-driven expert systems. We are backed by EWOR, the world's most selective early stage accelerator program.
We are a small, fast team working directly with domain experts and real clients. You won’t just move tickets you’ll help us ship the first production versions of our core product. We're aiming extremely high for this venture and want to reward for long term commitment. We are planning to expand our team to Portugal and you would be our first hire.
This will be a trial period of 3 months with the goal of continuing if there is a good mutual fit.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain backend features in Python (APIs, integrations, small services).
Implement and improve front-end features in React (components, views, dashboards).
Collaborate with our senior cloud engineer on AWS-powered backends (deploys, basic CI/CD, debugging infra issues).
Act as a hands-on generalist: fix bugs, polish rough edges, improve internal tools.
Work closely with the founders in a low-bureaucracy, high-ownership environmen
Must-have
Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science
3+ years professional experience as a software engineer (ideally full-stack).
Solid experience with Python (any modern web framework is fine: FastAPI, Django, Flask, etc.).
Solid experience with React (JavaScript or TypeScript) and good HTML/CSS fundamentals.
Comfortable working with AWS (at least deploying and debugging apps with guidance).
Ability to work independently: clarify requirements, estimate, ship.
Good English (written and spoken).
Based in Portugal
Nice-to-have
Previous startup or small-team experience.
Experience with APIs, authentication, and basic data pipelines.
Interest in LLMs / generative AI and building tools around them
