 What is this challenge about

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures primarily on AWS;
• Lead data engineering and cloud platform projects, from concept to production;
• Develop and enforce data governance and security standards across platforms;
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and Glue;
• Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for platform deployment and management;
• Apply hands-on coding in Python and SQL to prototype solutions and set technical standards;
• Ensure performance optimization for large datasets and manage Iceberg tables, Redshift, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical leader and mentor.

 What we are looking for

• 10+ years of experience in cloud data engineering and architecture;
• Deep expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions);
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation);
• Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL;
• Experience in data governance, security, and compliance;
• Background in large-scale data migrations and platform optimizations;
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills;
• Experience in European corporate environments, preferably within large-scale, regulated organizations;
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
• Proficiency in English.
