What is this challenge about:

  • Design and implement complex Linux-based solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Manage Linux servers across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
  • Optimize and enhance automation processes using a variety of automation tools and solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and apply tuning and optimization measures.
  • Manage patching solutions and ensure correct, automated execution of updates.
  • Define and enforce security policies, system updates, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and produce status and capacity reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for:

  • +5 years of experience in Linux system administration within enterprise environments.
  • Advanced administration of Linux operating systems, including SUSE, Red Hat, CentOS, Oracle Linux, and Solaris.
  • Solid experience with LVM and storage management.
  • Advanced administration of proprietary patch management solutions such as Red Hat Satellite, SUSE Manager, and OSMH.
  • Experience managing virtualized environments using VMware technologies (ESXi, SRM, NSX, vRealize) and Oracle Virtual Machine.
  • Advanced scripting knowledge for Linux environments.
  • Relevant technical certifications are considered a strong advantage.
  • Clear and effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability to dynamic environments and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work independently in a multinational and remote work environment.
  • Living in Lisbon (Hybrid role)
  • Fluent level of English and Portuguese.
  • Intermediate to advanced Spanish.
