What is this challenge about:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach teams on Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support the Product Owner in effective backlog management, ensuring clear prioritization and maximum value delivery.
  • Identify, manage, and proactively remove impediments (technical, organizational, or people-related).
  • Promote Agile estimating and planning practices aligned with team capacity and delivery goals.
  • Act as an internal Agile coach, helping teams become self-organized, high-performing, and fully Agile.
  • Encourage and support Agile engineering practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Driven Development, and automated testing.
  • Track and analyze Agile metrics (e.g., velocity vs productivity) to support data-driven improvements.
  • Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to ensure transparency, reporting, and effective collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align delivery outcomes with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of an Agile Center of Excellence within a multinational fintech environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • +5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Delivery Lead.
  • Scrum Master certification (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
  • Proven experience with Agile estimating, planning, and Scrum artifacts.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile software engineering practices, including: Automated testing techniques, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Test Driven Development
  • Experience working with Agile metrics such as velocity and productivity.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Background in software development is valued.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and active listening skills.
  • Living in Porto, Coimbra or Lisbon.
  • Fluent level of English.
