Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of software licenses and software assets;

• Monitor purchased, assigned, installed and effectively used licenses;

• Identify licensing discrepancies, underutilization and optimization opportunities;

• Support the collection of evidence for software compliance assessments and Effective License Position (ELP) analysis;

• Identify opportunities for license reharvesting, downgrade and reuse;

• Monitor changes in licensing models and metrics from major software vendors;

• Support software renewals, contracting processes, true-up/true-down activities and vendor negotiations;

• Support software vendor audits and compliance processes;

• Analyse large volumes of licensing and usage data to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities;

• Translate technical and licensing analysis into clear business and executive recommendations;

• Collaborate with technical, financial and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Asset Management (SAM);

• Strong knowledge of software licensing and asset lifecycle management;

• Experience with software compliance and Effective License Position (ELP) analysis;

• Ability to interpret complex licensing rules and contractual conditions;

• Strong analytical and investigative skills;

• Experience working with large volumes of data and identifying inconsistencies;

• Strong financial mindset and focus on cost optimization;

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;

• Strong communication skills with technical, financial and business stakeholders;

• Proactive approach to identifying risks and optimization opportunities;

• Ability to transform technical analysis into executive-level recommendations;

• Fluent English.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting software vendor audits;

• Experience with software contract renewals and negotiations;

• Knowledge of license optimization practices such as reharvesting, downgrade and reuse;

• Experience with true-up and true-down processes.
