As a Senior Software Engineer for AI projects, you will be working for our client, a leading technology company at the forefront of AI innovation in Lisbon. Your expertise will aid in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that drive real-world impact in AI applications. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications critical to AI projects
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions to enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to continuously improve code quality
• Integrate, test, debug, and deploy software across development, staging, and production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into effective technical solutions
• Evaluate and prioritize feature requests and technical improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues
• Enhance development processes, tooling, and engineering practices
• Maintain technical documentation for internal and external use

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software development with Python
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or comparable tools
• Solid experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and distributed system concepts
• Proficiency with Git, pull requests, and collaborative workflows in Agile/Scrum environments
• Good understanding of testing practices (unit, integration, automated testing)
• Experience deploying and operating applications on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluent spoken and written)

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Exposure to front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Interest in system performance, observability, and reliability
• A growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies

Language Required for the role:
Fluent in English (written and oral).
