Senior Java Software Developer

Inscale is looking for Senior Java Software Developer to join our Lisbon office in a hybrid work model (3 days in-office).

Become a part of JYSK, one of the world’s largest retail chains! As a Senior Java Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing various applications. You will also be involved in specifying and refining features and tasks, in cooperation with different business areas.

As a Senior Java Software Developer, you are responsible for developing our various applications. You will also be involved in specifying and refining features and tasks, in cooperation with different business areas.

You will be working with newer technology, frameworks, and platforms including:

• Spring Boot

• Kafka

• Kubernetes / Docker

• JDK 17

Responsibilities:

The Java team is responsible for a wide range of in-house developed applications. So, you will get the opportunity to work in different business areas and with different technologies. We are looking for engineers who:

• Are passionate about IT and software development

• Are skilled Java developers, who continuously strives to improve their skills

• Write a clean code and create software architecture that are flexible

• Are experienced with Java web technologies

• Write thorough tests of the code and are familiar with test driven development

• Can drive and facilitate design discussions • Have extensive knowledge of distributed systems and concurrency

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related discipline OR relevant years of experience in required skills.

Experience Requirements

Must Have Skills:

• 6-8 years of experience in software development with Java

• 5+ years working with Spring Boot • Experience with SQL

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Cloud Native engineering

• Experience with Kafka

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Test Driven Development (TDD)

Soft Skills Requirements:

• Proactively solution oriented (Nothing is lost in the cracks)

• Always on the ball

• Displays maturity and loyalty to the processes, organization, and decisions

Travel Requirements
Travelling to Brabrand, Denmark, based on the project requirement or the Manager. Expect around 2 days every 3 months for PI planning.
