Network Engineer

IT House is recruiting a Network Engineer for a client in the insurance sector, based in Lisbon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute monthly vulnerability remediation and hardening of F5 load balancer environments, proactively addressing new security threats driven by the evolving AI landscape;
• Plan and execute vulnerability remediation and environment hardening through scheduled upgrades and patches;
• Automate F5 operations using Ansible and/or Terraform, leveraging existing infrastructure-as-code implementations;
• Manage and optimize load balancer configurations to support migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-native environments;
• Troubleshoot F5 LTM performance and connectivity issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions;
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles to support team operations and knowledge transfer.

PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or equivalent professional certification (CCNA, Network+ or similar);
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) load balancing technology;
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code automation tools (Ansible and/or Terraform);
• Strong network fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot network-level issues;
• Fluent English (mandatory);
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with flexibility and openness to changing priorities;
• Strong documentation capability and attention to detail;
• Ability to work effectively within large enterprise environments.
