Mid Java Developer – Backend & API Integration

As a Fullstack Java / Angular Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services institution, supporting the core LoanIQ application that manages Back Office Financing Operations across Paris, EMEA, APAC, and the US. You will contribute to building robust modules, developing REST APIs, and ensuring seamless integration in a fast-paced, Agile environment—driving efficiency and excellence in global banking processes.

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance Java backend applications and Angular 2+ frontends supporting the LoanIQ ecosystem.
• Develop RESTful web services and interface with API gateways, working with messaging solutions such as RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, and JMS.
• Write complex relational database queries, stored procedures, and optimize data access using JPA/Hibernate.
• Contribute to quality assurance through unit tests (JUnit, Mockito), manage builds via Maven, and support deployment using Git and Jenkins.
• Collaborate effectively in an international Agile team based in Paris and Porto, providing daily support for global banking branches.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of IT development experience, with a strong background in full-stack Java development.
• Proficiency in Java (1.5+ yrs), Spring framework (Boot, MVC, Batch), Java EE, JPA/Hibernate, and REST API design.
• Experience with Angular 2+ and relational databases, including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Maven, Git, Jenkins, and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Nice to have: Linux/Unix environment knowledge, messaging solutions like RabbitMQ or IBM MQ, API Gateway experience, and understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Familiarity with JSF or other front-end frameworks.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English command is mandatory. French is a plus for Paris coordination.
