What is this challenge about

• Join a network security development team building a self-service platform to automate firewall rule requests.
• Develop end-to-end Python/Django workflows covering the request, validation, approval and provisioning of firewall rules.
• Build and maintain API integrations to orchestrate changes across Fortinet and VMware NSX-T environments.
• Implement pre-change validation, conflict detection and safe rollback mechanisms to protect production traffic.
• Write unit and integration tests and ensure every generated rule complies with security policies.
• Document code, API contracts and workflow designs to support a smooth handover to internal teams.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Advanced Python 3 and Django (or Django REST Framework) for building scalable APIs and automation backends
• Experience with asynchronous task queues such as Celery and Redis
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Git, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Strong knowledge of Fortigate (FortiOS) and VMware NSX-T
• Experience automating firewall policies and security groups through the FortiManager API and NSX-T Policy API
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, network zoning and micro-segmentation
• Good English skills
